This is often too true for me. I get sad about so many things in life that I become so mad at myself for feeling so much sometimes. I don't get why I'm so sensitive or why I see the need to reach out to all my friends even though I know sometimes that it's gonna end in a broken heart for me. It sucks cause I know that but I still keep trying.
But the question I hate the most has to be this: What's wrong with you?
*takes a deep breath in*
I hate that question, really. Every time I blog an 'emo' post on this blog, friends who care will ask me that question in concern for my well being. While I really appreciate the thought, the question just makes me pissed cause it's in a way forcing me to give you an answer even though I have absolutely no idea at all.
Okay, I have an inkling of what's going on in my mind and the stupid negative thoughts floating in that blank space of mine but that doesn't mean that I'm inclined to share it. I don't share my thoughts with many friends. It isn't about trust sometimes. It's denial. It's me not wanting to accept that that's how I really think of myself, deep down in the bottom of my heart.
But you know what? Life's cool this way. It doesn't care if you're ready or not. It doesn't give a shit if you're emotionally turmoiled or happier than a stupid damn lark. It just keeps rolling on no matter what happens. Quoting my favourite conductor Mr Tan, "Life goes on." Doesn't matter how shitty life is; it'll progress despite it all. Life's a bitch that waits for no man.
My brain's a little muddled by the way so excuse all the spelling errors and all that crap. So yeah, basically what I'm trying to say is, I'm trying to move on in life. It's tough but I'm trying.
Remember the quote that says that the greatest enemy is ourselves? Well, that quote is freaking true. I hate the thoughts that float through my mind sometimes, so much so that I choose to avoid the world that I live in to live in the world I created inside my mind instead. The living world's filled with too much disappointment. Mind world's better hahaha. It makes me feel secure and safe. It makes me feel like I belong somewhere and that feeling is great.
It tempts me with my greatest desire, fulfills my wish to be invisible but I know it can't last for long. I will have to face reality one day. I will have to get stronger.
I used to think that to combat sadness, I had to find happiness. Just like how if one's feeling depressed, the psychiatrist will advise her/him to seek reasons to live. Now, however, I know it's different. It's not about finding happiness. It's about battling sadness. It's about not letting the sadness in you take over your very being. You nip that in the bud, cast its evil roots away from your body and spit it out of your mouth and let it rot in the soil for ages to come.
The above quote summarises my feelings perfectly haha. ;) WAY TO GO TUMBLR. You have the best quotes ever. *applause to Tumblr*
-claps claps-
Anyway, I was talking to Shimin recently and our conversation went something like this:
(this conversation is only 70% accurate so it's clearly not a reliable source. trust at your own risk)
Shimin: So why you suddenly like that?
Me: I've felt this for a long time already. I think it's just cause last time I'm so busy focused on all of my friends I never really had time to sit down and think for myself. Now, I have time.
And that's true. Throughout my life, I've always been solving my friends' issues and I've never had the time to really sort through all the emotions I'm feeling. Every time my friends show remorse or regret at the mistakes they've made, I forgive them readily despite my heart's protests. I'm not ready to forgive but I always will. That's really pretty dumb of me huh?
Maybe I just don't learn from my mistakes hmmm.
Alright ending this awesome entry with an awesome quote:
